Here’s a competition that Journalism Education Association mentees may be interested in – with the winner receiving a classroom set of The Wall Street Journal.

Linda Shockley, Dow Jones News Fund deputy director, sends this information:

For the fourth consecutive year, media teachers can compete to win a year’s classroom subscription to The Wall Street Journal Classroom Edition.

Teachers are asked to email up to 250 words explaining why they need the newspaper for their media classroom to with “Classroom Edition” in the subject line by Sept. 17.

Entries should include school name, postal mailing address and a phone number with area code. Subscriptions for the most persuasive essayists start in October.

Winners receive:
– 30 copies of The Wall Street Journal Classroom Edition
– Unlimited use of
– Full subscription access to The Wall Street Journal Online for the teacher
– A Teacher Guide
