Join Kay Windsor for her webinar on “Blogging and Building Community.”
The webinar will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 3 to 4 p.m. (EDT). The webinar is rescheduled from the previous date (March 7). An ice storm in North Carolina knocked out the electricity at Kay’s home. We’re hoping for more cooperative weather this time!
You can register for the webinar by clicking on this link.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. You’ll also receive reminder emails — one day and one hour before the webinar begins.
You can participate in the webinar with your desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone. Be sure to register in advance and check the computer system requirements so you’ll be set up and ready to go for the webinar on Friday. View System Requirements
In this free webinar, Kay will discuss the value of reading blogs and how you can be part of an online community by commenting on blogs. She’ll also talk about why you may want to create a blog.
Kay will share her own blogging experience with Farther Along — The Writing Journey of Thirteen Bereaved Mothers. She is one of 13 women who write for the blog, and she also is one of the blog’s administrators. The The group marked ten years of writing together by traveling to a château in France for a week of writing, and they have published a book based on their blogging.
If you are going to use your laptop or desktop computer to watch the webinar, you should close other software programs (i.e., Photoshop, iTunes). Having other programs open can affect your webinar experience.
If you are participating on your tablet or smartphone, you won’t be able to respond to the polls held during the webinar — but you’ll see the questions and hear the results from those who can participate.
If you can’t participate in the webinar, you will be able to watch it afterwards. The link to the video of the webinar will be posted on YouTube, and we’ll post the URL to the video on the blog.
