Two JEA mentee ‘graduates’ named as JEA Rising Stars

I just saw Bradley Wilson’s e-mail that the JEA website has posted the new recipients of the Rising Star Award.  I quickly went to check to see who they were, and two of the 15 are JEA Mentee “graduates.”

Congratulations to Erica Rickard and Melanie Huynh-Duc.

Erica Rickard, Newton (Kan.) High School, is a former high school journalism student and former mentee of Mary Anne McCloud.

Melanie Huynh-Duc, Northwest Guilford High School, Greensboro, N.C., is a former mentee of Martha Rothwell.

This is a great honor for these two young women, but it is also a wonderful reflection on quality of their mentors and their work with them.

Erica and Melanie are Rising Stars, and Mary Anne and Martha are two of many bright stars in our Mentoring Program. Congratulations to all!
