Incorporating new technology — especially blogging — into the curriculum was the focus of three sessions at the AEJMC Scholastic Journalism Division midwinter meeting at the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg.

Nick, Judy and I from the mentoring program are here, along with our colleagues from JEA.

If you’d like to read more about the sessions, I’m blogging on my thoughtsonteaching,wordpress.org

We’re now in the business meeting. Linda Puntney just announced that the job description for JEA executive director (and other duties of the faculty position at Kansas State) will be posted by next week. K-State is hoping to have finalists  on campus to interview by March and the new director hired by mid-April. The new executive director will begin July 1 and would work for a month with Linda before she retires.

We’ll post information about the search on this blog.
