The Mentor Forum will be going on today at the Journalism Education Association/National Scholastic Press Association Convention in Denver.

Lots of mentoring strategies and technology tips will be shared by the mentors who are attending. The mentors, many of whom who have been working together for more than five years, also will have the opportunity to hear about each other’s work with new teachers.

Mentor Committee — Linda Barrington, Bill Flechtner, Peggy Gregory and Gary Lindsay — met last night to review plans for the Forum and discuss the Mentor Program.

11:15 – 11:45         Articles: “The Good Mentor” and “Becoming a Journalist in the Digital Age” – Peggy
Reflection – How will the information from the articles and the morning sessions affect/help your mentoring? – TIPS (Think, Ink, Pair, Share) Group discussion and get ready to join the Outreach folks

11:45 – 1 p.m.         LUNCH with Outreach participants
