The JEA Multicultural Commission partners with the Dow Jones Newspaper Fund and the Newspaper Association of America Foundation to run a day-long workshop during each JEA convention for new advisers.
The emphasis for the academy is for advisers who teach in schools with a large minority population and/or minority advisers.
This program is one of the ways the mentoring program identifies potential mentees.
